Why to become an ABO member?

Dentists and Dental students who are ABO members pay special rates in conferences and other ABO NETWORK's official scientific events.

Moreover, National ABO has established several partnerships with insurance and health companies that offer financial and services advantages to their members, such as the recently launched Unimed-Vitória healthcare plan, which provides national coverage and operates through a co-participation system, proved to be more affordable to users.

Another agreement signed between ABO and Artmed/Panamericana allows members to update themselves professionally through quarterly modules.

International

Through a foreign affairs policy with important dental organizations, National ABO has also won benefits for the Brazilian dentist in the international field. The agreements offer advantages for admittance in scientific events, publications and education programs.

The agreements signed with the World Dental Federation (FDI) and the American Dental Association (ADA) allow Brazilian professionals to participate in their conferences by paying special prices. The other agreement with the Latin American Dental Federation (FOLA) also determines co-operation for admittance in scientific events and is extended to the 20 affiliated countries

Add to that, the ADA also authorized the ABO to commercialize its publication, The Journal of the American Dental Association (JADA), with a 30% discount.

Information

The professionals associated with ABO also receive free publications of the bimonthly ABO National News (Jabo) which provides dentists with information on Dentistry and Health, benefits they are entitled to, Brazilian policies for the sector, news from ABO's Branches and Sectionals, dental market news, among others. Besides, members have access to ABO Online, an electronic bulletin with the latest news and official reports that interest the Brazilian Dentistry, and they can also subscribe National ABO's Journal which contains scientific matters, special reports, interviews, companies' launches and promotions and schedule of national and international conferences.

ABO Portal is the novel tool

The National ABO Portal at ( www.abo.org.br ) was created to intensify even more the contact options through which the members can learn about services and benefits offered by the organization, access the latest news in Dentistry, join the discussion forums and chat-rooms, among other opportunities. Both ABO National News and ABO National Journal are available on-line.
