The application for the FDI'2010 can be done on-line

It is already online the official website of the 2010 FDI Annual World Dental Congress, that will happen in Salvador – Bahia , from 2 nd to 5th of September ( www.fdi2010.com.br ). Now it is also possible to apply by internet as searching all the programmes and much more. Soon the website will be in English and Spanish too.

All Brazilian and Latin American will pay special fees and the applications done by March, 29 will get a discount. Payments can be done by bank invoice or credit card (Visa, Master and Diners). It is possible to pay in three instalments. The fees including access to all activities of the scientific programme, the World Dental Exhibition, the open ceremony, the documentation and the folder of the congress.

The FDI'2010 should gather around 10 thousand participants in Salvador , not only from Brazil but also from Latin American and other countries. The participants will have access to a broad and varied programme with about 100 scientific activities given by Brazilians and international specialists.

The business fair is also a great attractive of the event because it will gather around 300 exhibitors from all over the world, which is a great opportunity for the national Dentistry segment, their products and also for the professionals to be updated with the market.

During the congress, at the General Assembly, representative of dental associations from more than 140 countries that compound FDI will be gathering together. The International Dental Manufactures (IDM), which represent the world industry, and others institutions and Dentistry entities from all over the world will also be together at the event.

Anticipated success

In Brazil, the FDI'2010 was officially launched on the 31 st of January, in an event that gathered representatives from the business and the trade Dentistry and also the President and the Executive Director of the FDI, the Brazilian dentist Roberto Vianna and David Alexander, respectively; the President of the International Dental Manufactures (IDM), Pam Clarck; Dr. Newton Miranda de Carvalho, President of the Brazilian Dental Association (ABO), that sponsor the Congress in Brazil, members from the Local Coordination of the event and Paulo Roberto Ramos de Souza, representative of the Dentistry sector of the Brazilian Association of the Medical, Dental, Hospital and Lab Industry (Abimo).

Soon after the presentation about the congress, booth sales and booking were opened with great interest by the exhibitors. The following days, the interest for a place in the exhibition was still high at the booth that FDI and ABO were sharing in the International Dental Congress of Sao Paulo that happened from 30 th of January to 3 rd of February. At the end of the event, the organization had 60% of the booth already booked.

“Today Brazil has international reputation because of the 2014 World Cup, the Olympic Games in 2016 and also the FDI'2010. This event is an important opportunity for Brazil to show its role to the world”, said Pam Cark from IDM.

The enthusiasm is shared by the President of ABO. “This is the time to show to the world what we have in science and technology. It is a moment for the interchange between the participants of the congress and for commercial interchange too”, said Dr. Carvalho.
